Went down Main and up West fork. Both totally dry.

Fixed log anchor in good condition at rap into Main. There was also a fixed knife blade piton with a sling at the last down climb. We rapped the first drop, but it would have been easier and pleasanter to down climb and down climbed all the subsequent drops, including the last.

Approached cross-country from the alternate parking and were very happy to skip the extra 3 miles of road walking at the end of the day!

Dry until the junction with the West fork. Waist deep pool at base of dryfall, which was merely damp. We weren't up for wading so went back up canyon in the main branch to the first climb out and then traversed back south, visiting the sheep bridge from above on the way. Good day had by all.

All rap anchors in good shape.

A little water in spots, but avoidable.

Drove to within 1 mile of trailhead in Honda Odyssey.

Nice canyon for the Moab area.

All anchors are fine.

Very little wading, about thigh deep at the Spring.

2 x 120 foot ropes are just right.

It's HOT in the sunny sections.

Anchors all ok.

Water avoidable by stemming, although we just forged through calf deep.

No need to wade at all on the exit.

No bugs in the canyon, a few at the trailhead.

Bugs only an issue for us at the parking.

All pools could be avoided by stemming.

Seemed like the best entrance would be the new bolts out left and above the chimney downclimb. We fixed to the tree 40 feet down from the start of the canyon and did a multi-stage drop, which worked fine, but the clean, single drop from the two-bolt anchor looked better. Unfortunately it was already rigged and I didn't feel comfortable rapping someone else's rope without asking.

All the anchors were fine, the big rap had two huge cairns in place. One pool to wade through, at the bottom of an exposed downclimb that we chose to rappel. Used a guided rappel to keep the kids dry.

The exit climb was dry and straightforward.
