Did the shuttle, and was a huge benefit. Still a lot of rotting wood and dirty water. A few swimmers. Wetsuits were welcome to keep all the debris at bay. 0-4 raps, natural anchor possibilities.

There is a temporary closure to canyoneering for Five-mile Canyon in Capitol Reef from now until August 31 2013 due to some sensitive resource concerns.

There are no other access issues in the park at this time.

super stank! We chose the through the reef adventure with a shuttle. A nice day long adventure across the capitol reef! The 4wd made the pleasant creek crossing fine. Most of the technical bits were easily downclimbed. Most of the potholes/slots had some old smelly water in the bottom. We spent a bit of time stemming over as many wet places as possible. A few spots were full on swim, no wetsuits used. Near the end some tricky stemming avoids a super foul section of thick soupy goo/water/organic rotting death, though one of us fell in waist deep and had to crawl and swim out. Unless you enjoy very nasty pothole funk, wait untill some rain cleans things up!
