Only one, easily bypassed section of water left now. Found two possible anchors at first major rappel. One deadman type in a higher up pocket and another 20 feet lower down around a pinched chockstone. The chockstone setup seemed to be coming loose so backed up with the other deadman and added a couple more rocks. Be careful here. Drove in from the now 4wd access.

Road out to the hogs is definitely not in 2WD shape- fine with an SUV. Couple avoidable pools in top half of the canyon- didn't look deep. Bone dry the rest of the way. Tried the exit Mountaineer has previously documented- fairly easy 5th class climb out of the wash after Hog 1, up the fault, then take a right and go up the canyon.

Dry. Anchors are in place at the two mandatory rappels.

Dry, dry, dry. All anchors secure & in decent shape. Short canyon, nice downclimbs & raps. Some downclimbs were anchored that perhaps did not need to be.

Canyon is dry. Road is accessible using a high clearance vehicle (or rental sedan ;-)) We rebuilt every anchor but one, which I did extend for a better pull angle. I brought a 165ft rope and 200ft pull cord which made the pulls a lot easier and cleaner. Longest rap is maybe 70 ft? We hiked out using the West Exit canyon. It was steep but everyone agreed it wasn't too much to swallow (class 3?).

Some water in the canyon but it was stem-overable. The two raps had anchors.
