All water is avoidable...except for the exit at White Canyon. Right there it is up to chest deep!

Anchors in good condition. Final rap and sequence is fantastic.

It is such an easy drive, any car can make this under the conditions we had then it is less than 2 minutes from the car to start into the canyon.

Broad and open at first, it narrows and gives some fun but there was no water up high.

There was getting to be a lot of walking when we stopped for lunch. As if by magic we started into water, rappels and a slight amount of downclimbing.

The canyon, where it dumps into White Canyon, had a pretty nice assortment of Indian rock art, mentioned in the beta. Later, in White Canyon we looked up and saw an Indian rock structure 40-50' off the canyon floor.

The 100 degree heat was rewarded with plenty of pools for final soaks before the uphill walk out to the cars.

All in all, if I got to Black Hole and water was running there so we could not do that, if everyone in the group could rappel, I would do Horse Tanks as a 2nd choice canyon; or, as in our case, a 2nd day canyon after Black Hole the day before.
