Flowing water from the rain earlier in the day - best possible conditions for this canyon. I had a 4/3 full and was perfectly fine.

The upper part before the first rappel had little to no water and what was there was clear. The rest of the canyon after the first rappel had less water than the other time I did Keyhole. There were only two or three spots that were swimmers. The corridors were almost empty, minus the long one. I found Keyhole to be low in H2O, this could drastically change with all the recent rain.

This little canyon was a lot of fun. The water levels were quite high compared to many trip report photos I've seen. We were swimming through a few sections. The water was dangerously cold and fairly clean, not stinky.

Canyon in great shape water was cold but felt great with the wetsuits. First section of water was plenty warm to not need a wetsuit but the last sections made up for it. Anchors in good condition. Water was lower than past trips.

Couldn't have been better. The backcountry desk was reluctant to give us a permit due to the 30% chance of thunderstorms, giving us the canyon all to ourselves. Water was clear, cold, deep and not overly stinky. Wetsuits made the temp perfect. All raps were in good condition. 4 of us made it from car to car in just under an hour.

I took some noobs through for their first Zion Canyon. Full of cold water due to flood! Dead rat stew in one of the pools (the reason for this post). Some folks in front of us with out any suits.... shivering a little and escaping early

Very cold water but if you move fast you shouldn't need wetsuits, those that get cold easy should probably have them. webbing and anchors in good shape still.

other than that it's smelly water and mosquito's like normal.

Cold. Too cold for my 8 year old. Crazy if you don't ware a wetsuit. We were wanting to move fast with 4/3s. Couple of deep spots, handline and webbing in good shape.

Only saw one other group at the approach. Pretty good for Memorial Day.

Keyhole is tip top full with crystal clear and extremely cold water. The two anchors are in good shape. There is is a little ice between the middle and lower sections that is easy to stay out of. At a minimum, wetsuits are required. Dry suits might be desired by those who get cold easily.

Did this one right after Pine creek. Cold, beautiful, and dark. All anchors in good shape.

Snuck into keyhole in between showers. Full of water, all anchors were in good shape, not cold at all. The clouds provided awesome filtering for the light in the canyons

Ran through this on Sunday afternoon with a group of 5. Pools were all full, no surprises, just a lot of fun. Water toward end gets a little stinky (once you get out of the slanted/swim section), but you can climb up out of the canyon by then to bypass.

Never saw another person on the trail although plenty of people stopping at the parking spot asking what we were doing. We said we were just out looking for a drink of water.

Ran through Keyhole about a hour after it flashed. The slot was full, flowing (1-2 cfs), and had lots of foam! All rappel anchors looked good. Most of the group wore shorty wet suits and was comfortable. One member had on a dry suit which was too warm. Very short and fun run through Keyhole.

Lots of rain over the past couple of weeks has kept Keyhole full of water and very clean. We wore wet suits, probably didn't really need them but were comfortable nonetheless. Anchors looked good, combined 2nd and 3rd. Ran into one group going through and saw a few others but was able to get through quickly no hold ups. Short but fun canyon.

Rained a day before we did this and it was in great condition! Completely submerged - lots of water. No foul smells either. We downclimbed the 1st rap and jumped into the 6ft high pothole. The water was luke-warm the entire canyon except for the flooded-hallway but the 3/2 wetsuit made it very, comfortable. Even saw a few frogs in Keyhole that trip.

Same conditions as previous poster, it was pretty gross. The last part was actually the cleanest, so no reason to stem it, heh!

It made our bags, clothes and ropes smell fairly awful, so that's something to be aware of. The tiny amount of rain that fell this weekend wasn't enough to even bring the levels up in the pools.

Still beautiful though, once you get past the smell.

Very low levels......all pools smell like a sewer. This canyon needs a good flushing. The first big pool is crotch deep, second one is avoidable with a guided rap. Not sure how deep the last hallway is as the group stemmed the whole way. Beautiful canyon but skanky water brings the rating down....

Water was very low, waist deep at most. Also not very cold. I think most would be happier without a wetsuit, unless you tend to be chilly anyway.

Water level is low. It was only chest deep at the deepest sections. Kinda stinky in there at some spots. However, the canyon is still as beautiful as ever! gotta love how short and sweet this canyons is! :D

It was hot outside, so I opted to not take my wetsuit. I was glad I did, the water was cold, but bearable for me. Others in my group wore theirs and they were happy they did.

We dubbed Keyhole, "Sewer canyon". Low water, however, the Flooded hallway is chest deep (we are 6ft+ tall). Group of 6 ran through in 55mins. Hot outside! 102degrees.
