The approach is the same for uturn/teardrop/etc. as you probably know. For someone's first canyon, this part, as well as some pretty exposed hiking near the end, may make them a bit nervous, but an easy canyon otherwise.

To get to the first rap, we climbed up the cheese wall for no reason. you can definitely just continue forward after the crack climb and walk over to the first rap.

For the first rap, with a 200ft rope, the last person will barely get to where you can stand using a double-strand. But it isn't very steep and you can just slide down to the sandy area at the bottom. But make sure you really even the rope out as much as possible before descending. For the rap after that, you can rap off the tree which has webbing left on it, or there's a bolt over to the right. Took us about 4 hours but we were really taking our time. With beginners, expect to take that or longer.

this run is a good one if the other canyons are wet and you want to avoid water.

Fun, short canyon. We used a fiddlestick for the first time and it worked well on the long first rap and the two-stage second rap. But we also left the webbing in place and it's in good shape. For the two-stager, you can fiddle both stages at once or separately. (We did the canyon twice, due to left-gear.) But the rope pull around the large rock on the second stage, even with a short pull due to the fiddle, is difficult.
