The cauldron is completely full of sand, and a walk out. P.S. fun P.S.S. Conditions change, and the donut hole is the real reason to do this canyon.

What an epic canyon! I barely can fit through the narrows at 6'2 and 165lbs. Tighter than shenanigans and middle lep. The Cauldron was completely dry and had a rattle snake in it to spice things up. No pothole escape gear needed and there was one very short swimmer just past the cauldron. Be prepared to be stemming 15 feet high while soaking wet in an extremely tight slot at the very end, fun!

Cauldron almost full. Not an issue.

Lots of extra webbing to be cleaned up in narrow section. We cleaned out a 90m rope at the last down climb but left the webbing which is not good & should also be removed.

Figured it would be fitting to run this given that its almost Halloween, and turned out to be one of our favorite canyons we've run. The road wasn't bad in our slightly lifted Tacoma but I wouldn't recommend it in anything less than a truck/jeep. The water wasn't that bad and we ran almost the entire canyon in shorts and a t shirt, though we probably should have put the wetsuits on before the Cauldron.

The Cauldron was full and didn't require an escape but the bottom was about 6 ft under water so you could pretty much walk across as opposed to swim.

The deadman was in good shape as well as the optional rappel anchors.

Road is in poor condition. 4x4 highly recommended. Bent my truck hitch connector.

Cauldron was almost all the way full, and extremely cold. Sketchy to stretch over it and avoid up high, so recommend going in. Very narrow in spots. Last narrow section past the cauldron is a lot more straightforward than I remember from last time.

Fantastic! Log jam anchor for last rappel made for high chance of pendulum, and I would recommend the chock stone in the high stem. Cauldron was tippy top full.

All the anchors in canyon were in good condition and the potholes were completely full. One was just below the lip and easy exit on the far side, and the second we swam right over the exit lip.
